Court grants leave for Granger appeal in budget case -APNU

APNU today said that on the 22nd January 2014, Attorney for the Leader of the Opposition, Basil Williams, filed an application for leave to move to the Court of Appeal after the Full Court ruled that it had no jurisdiction in the matter of the striking out of Brigadier David Granger by Chief Justice Ian Chang in the Budget cut case as a defendant.

A 30-year-old Soesdyke taxi driver and mother of two was yesterday morning found murdered behind the Jubilee Resort on the Linden/Soesdyke Highway and one man has since been taken into custody and has reportedly confessed to the crime.
