Dear Editor, On December 20, 2012 you published a letter from me captioned ‘The government has not honoured its agreement on the Linden TV station,’ and the next day you published an article quoting aspects of my letter.

Dear Editor, For some time now, residents and educational institutions have been calling me as Mayor, seeking relief related to problems they face; the most prevalent is the removal of heaps of ugly, unhealthy garbage.

Dear Editor, I was very saddened to read of the death of PNC parliamentarian Debbie Backer.

Dear Editor, I read that, barring a retraction through apologies, SN and Chris Ram are threatened with a lawsuit by the AG (KN, March 20). 

Dear Editor, I attended a Medical Board examination of a number of patients at the Croal Street office in Georgetown a few months ago, and I was amazed at the way people were treated at that meeting.

Dear Editor, Abu Bakr is a well-read intellectual who knows his history better than most.

Dear Editor, This firm of insurance brokers would like to disassociate itself from the recent publication by a group of insurers in conjunction with the Guyana Insurance Brokers Association (GIBA) regarding the whole issue of flooding.

Dear Editor, A $10.3 million dollar project under the Basic Needs Trust Fund was recently executed in Annai Village with the primary objective being to upgrade and improve the water system there.

Dear Editor, An article about South Africa’s branding problems which I read recently, contained the following observation:  “More often than not, when we point a finger at anyone we have three fingers pointing right back at us.”

Dear Editor, Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the letter captioned, ‘No mail delivery service for Potaro Road residents,’ as carried in your letters column on Saturday, March 15, 2014.

Dear Editor, I live next door to the Kitty Market and obliquely opposite where construction is taking place at 20 A Shell Road Kitty.

Dear Editor, It is with regret that I am pointing out that on Saturday March 8, 2014 when you reported in an article titled ‘Justice system reforms need to better support women -Justice George,” you failed to mention that Justice George quoted the United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, in a message in the UN Women Report ‘In Pursuit of Justice: Progress of the World’s Women 2011-2012’ said: “Justice is central to the effort to help women become equal partners in decision-making and development.

Dear Editor, I was appalled and shocked by an article in the Kaieteur News of March 18 captioned ‘TSU forces APNU MP to remove tint.’ 

Dear Editor, Interpellated, as they would say, by two media ‘events’ of the last few weeks, one reacts.

Dear Editor, I write in support of the call by Mr Clinton Urling of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry that manufacturing entities should enjoy electricity subsidies in the legitimate activities of their entities.

Dear Editor, There is sufficient basis for the opposition, the GTUC, even Mr Yesu Persaud and anyone not to trust this regime, and whatever power is at the disposal of the opposition to ensure good governance should be used and supported by the masses of people. 

Dear Editor, A gathering of nearly 1000 persons of all ages and religions witnessed an alcohol-free Phagwah Mela at the Enmore Blossom Scheme playfield, carefully organized and wonderfully executed by hard-working and disciplined members of the Enmore Youth Development Group.

Dear Editor, What a contrast and posture of compromise as Phagwah celebrations saw the President, Prime Minister, APNU Leader and others decked out in pink, not green or red, and in a cheerful mood.

Dear Editor, I write in response to M Maxwell’s ‘Bisram cannot demand that his critics conduct their own polls’ (SN, Mar 12).
