Dear Editor, Edward Snowden, in making public American NSA illegal and intrusive monitoring activities around the world, has shown the true America.

Dear Editor, I am responding to a story in the September 13 edition of the Guyana Times captioned ‘Power rationing takes toll on Mahdia.’

Dear Editor, I had indicated that I would say no more on the issue of the National Minimum Wage but having been shown a copy of a letter dated August 11, 2013, written by Messrs Witter and Joseph making accusations against me I crave your indulgence to respond.

Dear Editor, I faithfully endorse the submission made in the Sunday Stabroek of September 15 by Dr Mellissa Ifill, Vice-President of the University of Guyana Senior Staff Association. 

Dear Editor, Some time ago I had commented on the condition of the street lights along the East Coast Highway and had observed that some attempt was made to restore a few.

Dear Editor, I have started a conversation with the Guyanese public on my ‘I Am Guyana’ television show on Chandra Narine Sharma (CNS) – Channel 6, and generally at other forums about a ‘citizens’ vision’ for Guyana’s development.

Dear Editor, The Stabroek News article of September 17, 2013 with the caption, ‘T&T Group eyes hydro plant, power link, among US$4B-mega projects here’ was brought to our attention.

Dear Editor, I am heartened by the President’s remarks at the Guyana Prize awards on Sunday last, in that they signal what would amount to a drastic positive change in the government’s de facto policy on literature.

Dear Editor, It has just come to my attention by email that the Commission of Inquiry into the violent unnatural death of Dr Walter Rodney, cutting him down before his prime of life, is about to be appointed.

Dear Editor, Most times whilst taking my daughter to Zeelugt Primary School, parents (mostly mothers) could be seen in the school compound in groups and when the school bell rings, they would converge where the children line up.

Dear Editor,      A number of residents have expressed to the Bartica United Youth Development Group (BUYDG) their disappointment with GPL over hours and days of unscheduled blackouts and the lack of notice about these.

Dear Editor, We write this letter from the perspective of concerned youths about the alarming rates of domestic violence in our nation, but more specifically in Zeelugt, especially because it sometimes translates into violent ends for the victims.

Dear Editor, The collapse of Supenaam stelling inspired some courageous reporters in pursuit of the truth about building standards in relation to the access ramp.

Dear Editor, May I take this opportunity to ask President Donald Ramotar to remember that although the political opposition would like to replace the People’s Progressive Party/Civic in government to pursue their own development agenda, they want what he wants.

Dear Editor, Region Six Chairman David Armogan recently made mention of the heat in schools causing children to perspire profusely and attributing it to the hot period at this time of year. 

Dear Editor, I had commented shortly after the 2006 election, in a letter captioned the ABC of politics, on Ms Gomatie Singh’s lament that the leadership of the AFC did not keep faith with her when they denied her a seat in parliament.

Dear Editor, As an elderly person, it seems that our society suffers from intransigence in dealing with serious social issues.

Dear Editor, Please allow me this opportunity to thank Mr Christopher Ram for reminding me of my obligations to the National Assembly.

Dear Editor, September 14, 2013 will make three years since the brutal slaying of Sheema Mangar who was employed at the time of her death at the Demerara Bank Ltd.
