Dear Editor, Mr Ralph Ramkarran’s column which was published in the SN of September 29 and titled ‘Defections from AFC to APNU ominous for PPP/C -Ramkarran’  is very thought provoking.

Dear Editor, The conclusion in the title of Annan Boodram’s letter ‘Neither Indians nor Africans will disengage from traditional electoral support until a force comes along that is better than the PPP and PNC and can demonstrably win elections’ (SN, September 10) is grossly flawed.

Dear Editor, I write in response to your letter dated September 2, 2013 requesting my comment on issues raised by letter writer, Elroy Stephney in a letter captioned ‘Small child still begging at Anna Regina car park’ (SN, August 31).

Dear Editor, I refer to Minister Clement Rohee’s recent public statement carried by many sections of the media.

Dear Editor,   In the increasingly globalized world we live in, continued use of the G$ means we will forever have problems like the one we have now, namely, the declining value of the Guyana dollar.

Dear Editor, I would appreciate it if you could draw attention to the burning of garbage by individuals and businesses in Guyana and the negative effects on the health of the population and the environment.

Dear Editor,   Election management is both complex and complicated – to a degree which makes even the eminent experts in associated fields unable to grasp the nuances, intricacies and inter-connectedness of activities.

Dear Editor, The holder of the office of Attorney-General is regarded traditionally, albeit informally, as the leader of the Bar and the members of the Guyana Bar Association should be able to take the incumbent, the Honourable Mohabir Anil Nandlall, MP seriously.

Dear Editor, In last Friday’s (Sept 27) issue of the Stabroek News it was reported that the Minister of Finance had taken an initiative to invite the two opposition parties to consultations on the 2014 Budget.

Dear Editor, It is sad but true that student politics at UG has achieved a new low. 

Dear Editor, Following a week of peace and quiet in the Rupununi, I returned to the noise and turmoil of Georgetown.

Dear Editor, While the Mayor, his Deputy and several of the councillors often use the excuse of limited finances for their failure to provide quality services to the residents of the municipality, the council’s unwillingness, neglect to account for the money it receives is a matter of grave concern to us at the Ministry of Local Government & Regional Development and to the PPP/C government.

Dear Editor, Both private contractors and the NDC of LBI/Better Hope garbage collectors collect and take away garbage from resident taxpayers’ homes from LBI to Better Hope on the East Coast of Demerara faithfully every two or three weeks, respectively.

Dear Editor, Guyana Water Incorporated wishes to respond to the letter titled ‘Broken sewerage system disrupts vending at Water Street Mall’ published in the Guyana Times on Friday September 27.

Dear Editor, I have recently read of NICIL’s generosity when it was reported that it had offered an unnamed partner in the Marriott Hotel being built in Guyana a 67% share for putting US$8M in a $58M investment.

Dear Editor, The APNU is waging psychological warfare on the Guyanese people.

Dear Editor, I certainly did not expect that Dr Henry Jeffrey would add his weight to the greatest hoax intended to destroy a political party in Guyana.

Dear Editor, The Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) dispatched a press release on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 with the headline ‘GRA introduces additional motor vehicle services at its Regional offices.’
