Dear Editor, In April of this year, I received an e-mail which stated in part: “The Dept of Culture is preparing for the IGCF in July in French Guiana and Carifesta in Surinam in August… We need to submit a team to participate in the Symposia and Literature at these festivals. 

Dear Editor, As persons continue the examination of the relationship between Sithe Global and Nigel Hughes within the context of conflict of interest as the Company Secretary of Amaila Falls Inc and a leader in the AFC, we must also look at it in the wider context of what it means to society.

Dear Editor, With 11 women murdered and several nursing chop wounds the virus called domestic violence continues to ravage Guyanese women and children, Mr Andrew Hicks, a sociologist and myself a clinical social work practitioner, have posited that “It is time to treat Domestic Violence as a public health challenge (Sunday Stabroek  June 17, 2012).

Dear Editor, So it seems that the construction of Amaila Falls Hydro will not start in January 2014 as planned, and it will not be generating electricity for the people of Guyana in 2017.

Dear Editor, Appearing in the Sunday Chronicle of August 4, 2013, was a Vacancy Notice for the position of Senior Communications Officer in the Guyana Sugar Corporation.

Dear Editor, I did not shrink earlier from speaking out against two erring (I believe) AFC members. 

Dear Editor, The political aftermath of the November 2011 general elections has spawned protean views, some of which may be rooted in uninformed analyses of the constitutional architecture which governs the State of Guyana.

Dear Editor, I read Nigel Hughes’s apology in your Monday issue.

Dear Editor, I read Intikhab Sankar’s letter (‘The Parliamentary Select Committee on the cricket administration Bill has failed to fulfil its mandate,’SN, August 10) which is essentially an attempt to discredit the work of the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) on the enactment of laws for the orderly administration of our cricket. 

Dear Editor, Just over a year ago the political opposition along with the Kaieteur News, Christopher Ram and Anand Goolsarran, just to name a few, were expounding to the public about conflict of interest. 

Dear Editor, I support Frank Fyffe’s description of GHK Lall’s contribution, style of the written word and “excellent penmanship.”

Dear Editor, As a member of the Alliance For Change’s National Executive Committee, I found your editorial of Sunday, August 11, 2013 difficult to read without being affected by its scathing indictment of the party.

Dear Editor, I am amazed and disappointed at the negative responses from a lot of persons who seem to be crucifying AFC leader Mr Khemraj Ramjattan for his support of government in an attempt to save the Amaila Falls Hydropower Project (AFHP).

Dear Editor, The inability to change the political arena that Georgetown and Region Four have been transformed into is a constant discourse.
