Dear Editor, On behalf of myself and all Berbicians, especially on the Corentyne, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Mr Bobby Ramroop for giving us Radio Guyana Inc 89.5FM.

Dear Editor, The window of opportunity has reopened to allow in the possibility for the establishment of the Public Procurement Commission (PPC).

Dear Editor, I am partisan but in the matter of national reconciliation I aspire to place country above party.

Dear Editor, Recently there has been another flurry of letters, responses, statements, press releases, etc, regarding the Demerara Cricket Board and the Guyana Cricket Board.

Dear Editor, I read with interest a great number of letters written by Mr Ruel Johnson pertaining to his criticism of The Caribbean Press and the mismanagement of this obscure Press.

Dear Editor, As we celebrate our 47th year of independence, which was fought for in the people’s quest for self-determination, the nation needs to be reminded that 26th May 1966 represents the beginning of government by the people for the people as we seek to determine our individual and collective well-being.

Dear Editor, Nearly half a century ago in May 1966 with the arrival of Independence, Guyanese were saying that we have a nation to build. 

Dear Editor, I always say that I will never turn my back on any animal that needs help, so I do hope this horse forgives me for not doing more, more quickly.

Dear Editor, There is a saying, ‘silence is golden,’ and in the letter section of SN, I have been pretty quiet, just observing the commentaries on many issues facing the nation and refining my comments to deal with the most important criteria, and that is, to reach the truth; the truth is the essence of social transformation and the essence of silence, while examining the facts results in a golden pathway ‒ a pure pathway ‒ to the truth.

Dear Editor, Despite its production and severe management problems, GuySuCo has still been able to add a touch of class to its sugar estate environs –albeit a superficiality.

Dear Editor, The recent visit by the two Ministers of Local Government to Sub-Region 2 of Region 8 was appreciated.

Dear Editor, We have read a letter written by Mr Ramon Gaskin on the Mayor and City Council (‘City councillors from all the parties should be dismissed,’ SN, May 21).

Dear Editor, How things have changed since I started practice so many years ago, when lawyers sensing some kind of lawlessness would, without being retained, of their own accord file an application to the court for a ruling as to whether what they perceived to be a wrong was legal or not.

Dear Editor, Caribbean Airlines’ Guyanese passengers have long expressed concern about the airline’s practice of spraying insecticide within their closed cabins prior to take-off. 

Dear Editor, We see from a press release of the Ministry of Natural Resources that the Amerindians of the South Rupununi are calling for control of the mining areas up for licensing at and near Marudi Mountain.

Dear Editor, With the advent of focusing on sustainable mining, I salute the initiative of the newly formed ministry responsible for mining in Guyana.

Dear Editor, In the tumultuous and hard days, weeks, months and even years ahead, I pray the voices of reason transcend those of ignorance.

Dear Editor, For the last 30 hours the usual weather satellite image progressions of water vapour in the atmosphere that I look at are either blank or stuck at around midnight of May 21.

Dear Editor, It’s interesting to note Mr Komal Chand’ s statements in the SN of January 13 that a sugar industry turnaround  was “far from reality.”

Dear Editor, Now that I’ve hopefully dealt adequately with the ad hominem issues raised in Dr Dabydeen’s latest missive, I beg permission to return to the specific issue of the Caribbean Press.
