Dear Editor, In a letter published on March 10, 2020, I requested in the most neutral language possible investigation and documentation of reports in the media of incidents at various places on March 6, 2020.

Dear Editor, In Stabroek News of 2020.09.07, under the bold headline, `APNU+AFC has not said how much of US$18m signing bonus spent on border controversy fees’, Hon Anil Nandlall, the incumbent Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, is quoted as saying “I don’t know if any other sums were paid, as there were no parliamentary sitting for over one year and one half and monies were being spent unlawfully, without any parliamentary approval.”

Appeal for peace and calm

Dear Editor, Instead of appealing to residents for peace and calm in the aftermath of the heinous murders of the teens it seems stoking and inciting and promoting strife is the preferred message for some.

Sugar industry needs to outsource field production, upgrade technology

Dear Editor, It is quite clear that if the Guyana sugar industry is managed efficiently using a new production model it can become prosperous again with significant contribution to the economy and the workers and their families who work in the industry, uplifting their socio-economic status in the communities that they live.
