Dear Editor, I have been trying for the past month to get in touch with the Guyana Student Loan office but to this day I have not succeeded. 

Dear Editor,   I think the Hindu public needs to be informed of the reasons for the differences in dates on the Hindu calendar, more especially, why the dates on Dharmic Sabha’s calendar are exactly one day after the dates on the calendars of all other Hindu organizations.

Dear Editor, Former President Bharrat Jagdeo, now Opposition Leader will be the guest speaker next month at the Eric Williams Memorial Lecture.

Dear Editor, We are still in our Jubilee year, so how belated could I be in adding my two-bits?

Dear Editor, The continuing and increasing incidence of human resource management practitioners including at the bottom of their vacancy advertisements statements like, “only short-listed applicants will be acknowledged” or words to that effect, risk undermining the very purpose of advertising vacancies.

Dear Editor, Those in society who fought for change in the manner in which the government functions and elected representatives conduct the people’s business carry a corresponding responsibility to hold this new administration accountable to universal acceptable standards.

Dear Editor, It is with utter disgust and anger that I pen this letter, given the total disregard shown to residents living aback the Providence Stadium by members of the police force and the owners of HJ’s Water World Fun Park.

Dear Editor, With reference to my letter dated June 8, 2016 about the Olympic Games Rio-2016 (‘The Olympic Games will not be cancelled or postponed’), I write one more time to this prestigious newspaper to lament that the Stabroek News, even after the resounding success of the Olympics in the city of Rio de Janeiro, continues to rely on international news agencies that highlight negative aspects of the event, instead of celebrating the achievements of the first Olympics held in South America.

Dear Editor, I write in relation to a letter published in the Stabroek News on Thursday, August 18, 2016 under the caption the ‘JSC has power to appoint the Deputy Registrar of Deeds’.

Dear Editor, It is the second time I have been stopped by police patrol vehicles in two weeks while heading home aback the Providence Stadium.

Dear Editor, When the East Coast Railway Embankment Road was finished, signs were erected showing the names of the various areas ‒ Plaisance, Better Hope Vryheid’s Lust, Montrose, Felicity, Success, etc ‒ as a guide to people and vehicles as to where they are going and where they have to stop off.
