Dear Editor, It is becoming increasingly evident that experience in an extremely vertical structure of military-style organisations, does not allow opportunity for effective decision-making, particularly in small developing countries like Guyana, where there have been few situations which have challenged the decision-making capability of that organization, or inspired the concept of consensuality and the practice of teamwork.

Dear Editor, I have read with some interest the persuasive letter of Kobe Smith in your Saturday, June 7 edition, followed by President’s Ramotar’s outburst the next day about the WICB for moving the Test match from Guyana.

Dear Editor, I do not wish to get into and between the ramblings of Pastor Ronald McGarrell, but I am calling on every civic-minded Guyanese to condemn his words of hate, rancour and rejection directed to homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender persons in Guyana, during a radio programme.

Dear Editor, Cricket indeed is a unifying force among the Caribbean people, hence every stroke that is played has an impact on and off the field.
