Dear Editor, This letter is in response to the news of a mentally ill man attacking a schoolboy on Wednesday morning, November 28, in front of Parliament Building.

Dear Editor, I write to inform you that, as a neighbour of the ongoing construction of a three storey building in front of my two properties situate at 148 and 142 Fabricating Street, Eccles, I have not been consulted about its development by the Neighbourhood Democratic Council (NDC) by way of notice under the laws of Guyana laid down for planning permission nor, as I understand it, has planning permission been granted by the NDC or Central Housing and Planning.

Dear Editor, Mr Royston King, the City Council’s Public Relations Officer must be congratulated on his vision for reinventing the Garden City of Georgetown (‘We need to reinvent the city of Georgetown’  SN, November 26).
