Dear Editor,
With regards to your news item on the cabinet reshuffle in Trinidad, the preliminary qualitative findings of a NACTA poll being conducted in Trinidad show overwhelming endorsement among voters of the Prime Minister’s cabinet reshuffle but they are not pleased with some of Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s appointees.
Dear Editor,
In a letter to the Stabroek News published on April 27, 2011, Abu Bakr eruditely speculated that there is no statute of limitations, and that perpetrators of election rigging could yet find themselves facing the judges.
Dear Editor,
I would like to congratulate the GRA for putting measures in place towards the provision of a better service to the public and taking steps recently to ensure higher levels of transparency.
In the fullness of time, the PPP/C’s version of access to information legislation will come under careful scrutiny however urgency is not required at the moment as it is clear to all breathing individuals that no functioning system will be in place before the general elections.
Dear Editor,
The Gentlewomen’s Relief Association is a home that provides boarding and lodging for our elderly ladies in comfortable and pleasant surroundings.

Dear Editor,
It seems as though I will be a regular writer to your newspaper, because as Buju Banton puts it, “Circumstances made me what I am…” I read in the papers today how a young life was snuffed out on the Linden to Lethem trail yesterday.
Dear Editor,

A fortnight ago, Pope Benedict held a timely audience with 2,000 representatives of the Roma – arguably the most vulnerable ethnic minority in Europe – at which he spoke frankly about their “complex and sometimes painful” recent history.
For sheer lack of ingenuity Donald Ramotar’s response to questions about his new-found public profile since his nomination as the PPP/C’s presidential candidate rivals David Granger’s gaffe in response to Stella Ramsaroop’s question about older men who prey on teen-aged girls.
Dear Editor,
Now that Clico (Guyana) has settled its liabilities (to an extent) to the Guyanese people, I would like to know what action would be taken against those who were responsible for the loss of income to policyholders as a result of their mismanagement and inefficiency, and the increase in their stress levels for more than a year.
Dear Editor,
My former journalist colleague at the Mirror, Kellawan Lall, should know by now that the Brazilians do not put up with the disorderly behaviour that we experience here on a daily basis under the current regime.
