President’s XI upset defending champions GT&T B/ce

Young Tagenarine Chanderpaul yesterday scored an unbeaten half century to guide the President’s XI to a six wicket victory over defending champions GT&T Berbice in a match of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Inter-County competition at the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) ground in Queenstown.

Essequibo fall away after threatening to upset Demerara

The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Inter County limited overs match between Demerara and Essequibo at the Everest Cricket Club ground saw Essequibo threatening to score the first upset of the competition before  convention had the final say and Demerara prevailed by five wickets.

GCB senior Inter-County One-Day competition bowls off today

Despite the fact that a number of the country’s top limited overs cricketers are on duty with the national T20 side which will participate in the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Regional T20 competition starting tomorrow in Trinidad and Tobago, the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) is going ahead with its staging of the annual Inter-County limited overs competition.
