The Guyana Amateur Swimming Association (GASA) yesterday announced the national age group champion swimmers based on performances at GASA National Swimming Championships last year.

Shane Baksh and Nathanael King share the honor in the boys’ eight-years-and-under category while Jamila Sanmoogan is the girls’ champion. Ronaldo Rodrigues and Britany van Lange are the boys’ and girls’ nine – ten-year-old champions respectively.

Linden Wickham is the boys’ 12 – 13 champion with Noelle Smith leading the girls’ group while Niall Roberts and Ashley Layne rule the roost in the 13 – 14 age-group categories.

Onan Thom stands tall in the boys’ 15-and-over group while Asanti Mickle returned to the top last year after some absence from the sport. The GASA Award Ceremony is planned for next Friday at a venue to be named.
