Man dies after car hits Success post

A 48-year-old man died when he lost control of the car that he was driving and crashed into a concrete post at Success, East Coast Demerara early yesterday morning.

Dead is Sieuchrisn Sewdial of Lamaha Street, Newtown. Police in a press release said that investigations revealed that Sewdial was driving a car in an easterly direction on the Success, East Coast Demerara public road at about 2 am yesterday, when it is suspected that he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a concrete post. He was transported to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH), where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The body is at the GPH mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination, the police said.
