Car stolen in city found on Corentyne-trio held

Three men are in police custody after a motor car, which was stolen from a Georgetown taxi driver on Monday, was recovered on Tuesday at a residence at Number 50 Village, Corentyne, Berbice.

Police in a press statement said that at approximately 7.30 pm on Monday Lyndon Harris was attacked by five men, one armed with an ice pick, who escaped with his blue AT 212 Toyota Carina PKK 3384.

Harris, police said, was at Pike Street, Kitty when the incident occurred. Three men have since been arrested and are assisting police with investigations.
