Dear Editor,

Most SN letter writers and bloggers seem to believe that simply removing the PPP is the end all.  Many believe that just removing Corbin will make the PNC capable of leading Guyana to the promised land. Others put their hopes in the AFC as the only alternative to the two major parties. More than a few seem to believe Guyana is doomed forever.  The last group may be right, looking at the choices.

Hopefully, a coalition of civil, religious and business leaders can unite to force the government and opposition to address issues that require better responses, and show greater accountability and transparency.  We need a more participatory democracy than a shared government at this time. Shared ones seem to mean jobs for a few leaders and followers, not more jobs for all. Independent thinkers welcome to this discussion.

Yours faithfully,
(Name and address provided)
