Three men, one armed with a gun, attacked and robbed a businessman and his female friend at a Kitty bar on Saturday night.
The attackers, police said in a press statement yesterday morning, escaped with the businessman’s licensed firearm, 11 matching rounds, jewellery and three cellular phones. An estimated value was not provided for the items.
Investigations, according to police, revealed that the armed robbery occurred at about 8.55 pm on Saturday at a sports bar in Barr Street.
After the robbery the men then escaped in a waiting motor vehicle. Investigations are continuing.
