Services at Georgetown Hospital are free

The Georgetown Hospital yesterday refuted rumours that it is charging for drugs, blood tests ultra sounds, x-ray, attendant and other medical and nursing services and said all services remain free.

According to a press release, from the GPH, the only clinical services which have costs attached are pregnancy tests and CT Scans. The pregnancy test has cost of a $240 while the other test varies in cost and is subsidized by the hospital.

The management therefore urges all patients, relatives and visitors of the hospital to report any staff member who requests or demands payment for the services rendered.

Reports can be made to the Chief Executive Officer; the Chief Public Safety Officer; the Medical Director or the Nursing Director.
