First Street Warriors football club of Campbellville held its nerve last Saturday to walk away with the $150,000 first place prize of the 2011 Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Inter-Block seven-a-side football tournament held at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground.
According to a press release, First Street Warriors, battled to a goalless draw with Grove Back Street of East Bank, but triumphed in the sudden death penalty shoot out by nine goals to eight.
Grove Back Street received $75,000 for being the runners up.
The presentation ceremony was held immediately after the finals where the champions and runners-up received their trophy and prizes.
