Fed up with GPL

Dear Editor,

I am a dissatisfied customer of Guyana Power & Light at Onverwagt, West Coast Berbice. GPL removed my meter wrongfully in May 2011. They claimed my service (at Mahaicony) had been disconnected for over six months, which was not so. To get the meter back I had to get another certificate of inspection, which I did, and I paid the reconnection charges in November. The meter was reinstalled in December, but to date I am still not getting power, simply because the pole was rotten and fell. Every time I call the person in charge, he keeps promising me ‘tomorrow‘ or ‘next week.’  All I am getting is promises, and no power. I am just fed up with GPL.

Yours faithfully,
(Name and address provided)
