GABA returns president, other officers unopposed

Incumbent president of the Guyana Amateur Boxing Association (GABA) Steve Ninvalle said the newly elected executive would have to “hit the ground running” as several bouts have been planned for early next month.

Ninvalle, Vice president Eustace Cuffy and Secretary Sean Richmond were re-elected unopposed when GABA held its AGM on Sunday at the Guyana Olympic Association.

Dexter Patterson also returned to his post as Treasurer while former vice presidents Maurice Rajcoomar and Jeff Roberts were replaced by Carl Graham and Gordon Nedd who were nominated by GABA. Former assistant secretary Keith Campbell was also replaced by Kesa Chase.

GOA Secretary Ivor O’Brien was the returning officer at Sunday’s meeting.
