Bail for man accused of obstructing cop

Jermaine Alexander was yesterday charged with obstructing a policeman acting in execution of his duties.

Alexander, 28, pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and Magistrate Judy Latchman placed him on $70,000 bail.

It was alleged that Alexander committed the offence on March 30, at Vlissengen Road.

Police Lance Corporal Jomo Nichols, who served as prosecutor in the case, did not object to Alexander being granted bail.
The matter continues on May 10.
