Yes you May! the 11TH!

CRUCIFIXION, RESURRECTION, NOMINATION

The Christian segment of the electorate has much to reflect upon this week-end.

Holy Week and Easter Week for those who really know the origins, distinction and implications of their Faith – as symbolized by the events of 2015 years ago – present some interesting considerations this year. For example; is God the Father still pleased about the sacrifice His Son made to redeem mankind’s sins? Given the state of Guyana, the world and the planet today? Was Jesus right in telling the Romans and other authorities that His Kingdom was not of their World? Does that mean that like Jehovah Witnesses, He would not have ever voted for any earthly government? But rendering unto Caesar his earthly dues could have included voting as some form of democracy, right?
Bishop Juan Edghill of the PPP/C seems to know how Jesus would vote if God the Son lands in Guyana before 11th May and finds His name on the Final, Official List of Electors. Will Easter time fun influence Guyana’s voters this year? Will the Easter Service commemorations inspire Christian voters this year? Are they different from our Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Bahais, Jordanites and Rastafari?
Oh boy! Happy Easter to all you Christian voters from Taurus. On Tuesday’s Nomination Day all kites must have symbols, however. Resurrection is at hand!

WANT OUR VOTE? Uncle Ulric and Auntie Mangree will vote for whichever Party, when in government from June, will do JUST the following: repair the little back road leading to their old cottage after 37 years; upgrade their cottage; put in water connections and electric lights; lower the cost of chick–feed; and persuade and provide Uncle Ulric to seek medical attention for his hearing and hydrocele.

OVERS LIMITED-VERY…

The West Indies bowed out of the ICC World Cup with a whimper but the Guyana Team(s) did great in the Region, Inspired, the PPP/C took first strike. Then rain flooded the ground and the whole of Georgetown after just 17 minutes.
