On January 11, at 1.00 pm, New York-based, Guyanese-born Muslim scholar Shaikh Safraz Bacchus will feature in a programme celebrating Youman Nabi at the Anna Catherina Islamic Complex on the West Coast of Demerara.
According to a press release from the Complex, the annual programme co-hosted by the Guyana United Sadr Islamic Anjuman will this year feature the renowned scholar who also currently serves as the lead Imam of the Central Mosque of New York.
The programme’s objective, the release said, is to engage the community by promoting peaceful dialogue.
