He said too the hosting of the tournament has motivated many young players to stay in school in order to qualify to play. He also said he was delighted to see the employment of a full-time Guyana Football Federation (GFF) technical director by the Normalization Committee and hoped that systems can be put in place to build on the efforts made at this level.

“Running these tournaments show us what is needed at the infrastructure and football education level, declaring with the employment of the technical director, avenues should be fashioned to further enhance the sport,” he said.
