Enmore post office robbed of $749,000

Three men armed with handguns on Saturday robbed the Enmore Post Office of $748,960 before escaping.

According to a police press release the post office was open for business when one of the suspects entered the building and sat on a bench provided for the public. The suspect a few moments later placed a gun to the head of a staff member who was cleaning the building when he arrived.

The man then told the woman to lie on the floor after which two of his accomplices who were hiding outside of the building joined him. They confronted the remaining staff members including the Post Mistress before proceeding to relieve them of cash, jewellery and cellphones.
