The other semi-final will pit Cornelia Ida of West Demerara against Lusignan. The three-day matches end on Sunday.

Everest, coached by Orin Bailey, will be missing two key batsmen in Guyana opener Krishna Arjune and former West Indies opener Ryan Ramdass who are both injured.

In the other semi-final, West Demerara’s Cornelia Ida (CI) takes on Lusignan of East Coast at the Lusignan ground. Former national batting star Rabindranauth Seeram, player/coach of Cornelia Ida, says he is optimistic but thinks it will be a close game that will be decided on first innings points. CI will feature two 19-year-olds in all-rounders Gurdat Harrinarine and Ravindra Ramnarine.

National Under-19 batsman Krishna Deosarran will spearhead the Lusignan team which includes young off-spinner Rajendra Nickbarran, batsman Vishnu Ramjit, and left-arm spinner Imran Khan.
