The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) urges a re-dedication of all Guyanese to uprooting evils of crime and corruption and other evils that still persist to Guyanese, in particular the Hindu community on the occasion of Phagwah.
“Phagwah’s message of the victory of good over evil is one of hope for all those struggling to overcome obstacles towards social, economic and political progress,” the party said in its message to mark the festival. The party has called on Guyanese to rejoice in significant achievements as a country. “Let us also re-dedicate ourselves to uprooting the evils of crime and corruption and other evils that still persist,” the party urged.
