Dear Editor,
The incident regarding Minister Kellawan Lall involved in a drunken brawl and firing his gun in a public place stands as a test for me.
Has the democracy and responsible government ushered in by Dr Cheddi Jagan devolved into a lawless rigmarole under Bharrat Jagdeo, a government not responsible to the people but only to members of its own private club?
If this minister is not held responsible for his action then Guyana is no longer run by a government but by a band of people who hold themselves above all others and above the law. This must not be allowed to happen. Democracy and equality under the law must be restored.
