The looting of a Mandir

Dear Editor,

I read in the newspapers (dated December 10, 2007) with abhorrence that a newly built mandir at Bounty Hall on the Essequibo Coast was broken into and looted by bandits last Thursday night. It was learned that bandits stole all the louvre windows from the mandir which was constructed mainly with public donations.

As a practicing Hindu, it is incomprehensible that an individual or individuals would steal from any place of worship. May Lord Krishna provide wisdom to these individuals to seek the righteous path.

Mr. Editor, I would appreciate it if the Chairman (or one of the executives) of Bounty Hall mandir would contact me at my e-mail address below. I will assist in replacing the louvre windows.

Yours faithfully,

Shiv Maharaj, PhD
