Attempted murder accused granted $200,000 bail

The 31-year-old woman, who was charged with attempted murder after she allegedly stabbed another woman in the chest, was yesterday released on $200,000 bail when she made her second appearance in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

On Friday Altea Bumbury, a bartender of 558 Go-Slow Avenue, Tucville made a court appearance and was remanded to prison by Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle.

She allegedly wounded Tabika Pierre two Wednes-days ago in Georgetown.

Yesterday, Pierre who was hospitalized appeared in court some time after Bumbury had made her appearance.

She was in severe pain and informed the court that she could not stand for long periods.

The area were she was stabbed was bandaged.

The matter will continue on January 4.
