The Indian Arrival Committee (IAC) in extending Christmas wishes to all Guyanese, said it recognised the important work done by Jesus that he preached the brotherhood of man including equality between persons of different ethnicities, forgiveness for sinners, respect for women and for authority among other things. The IAC said in its Christmas message that Jesus was “venerated by Muslims as the Prophet Isa and by Hindus as Shree Yisu Bhagavaan”.
The messages said the IAC recognises that the messages of Jesus Christ to mankind are external ones that have stood the test of time and will continue to do so as long as humankind exists on the face of the planet.
