I note, with some surprise, a letter headlined: `Too many acting appointment in schools’ that appeared on page 9 of the Sunday Stabroek of January 20 without any indication that it had been sent or was being sent to the Teaching Service Commission for a comment.
As far as my memory serves, a four-page advertisement appeared in the Sunday Stabroek sometime ago announcing senior vacancies and inviting eligible teachers to apply. As far as my memory serves, too, an advertisement appeared in Stabroek News on a number of days in December last announcing that promotions of Heads and Deputies had been made with effect from January 01, 2008 and advising teachers to uplift their letters of introduction.
Has the dirty-tricks campaign, mounted through anonymous letters in Stabroek News, now begun?
