IRO calls for dialogue

The Inter-Religious Organ-isation (IRO) is appealing to the criminals responsible for the killing of 11 persons in Lusignan to “put down your weapons and leg us engage in a dialogue that may lead to appropriate resolution of this conflict.”

Calling the incident a “crime against the state and against humanity,” the organisation said that the word tragic is a gross understatement while sympathising “with the strong desires expressed for revenge to be meted out to the perpetrators of this heinous crime.”

In a release the IRO noted that the “propensity also to apportion blame” seems to be the natural response at this time while adding that their hearts bleed with the families of those who were killed.
