In a letter published in Stabroek News on March 3, 2006, Mr Vishnu Bisram , the writer, noted that Dr Jagan was an honest man, “but stories were told to me that corruption among a few of his ministers was one of the factors that triggered his massive heart attack.”
Mr Bisram is obviously a gossip-monger who apparently believes in “stories” he hears. Dr Jagan’s heart attack had nothing to do with Bisram’s unsubstantiated allegations of corruption. The gentleman, who is one of your paper’s most frequent letter writers, seems to forget that Dr Jagan removed his Minister of Finance and was quite capable of removing any of his ministers.
The gentleman goes on to further his gossiping about the PPP with more “stories.” If Mr Bisram has any evidence of corruption, he must be man enough to report to the proper authorities and stop his gossiping which is defined as groundless rumours. He is old enough to know better!
