A 36-year-old man was remanded on Tuesday when he appeared before Magi-strate Hazel Octive-Hamilton in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on a charge of robbery under arms.
Paul Waterman of Lot 20 ‘B’ Field Sophia allegedly robbed Ravita Khedoo of $1,551,940 in cash and cheques worth $18,000 on March 1 at Lombard and Sussex streets, Charlestown. The money is the property of Toolsie Persaud Limited.
Waterman has to return to court on March 31.
