Minibus conductor exposed himself to teens – court hears

A 30-year-old minibus conductor who allegedly indecently exposed himself to three teenagers at the UG bus park was yesterday taken before Principal Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

Robert Anthony Deokaran of 976 Third Street, south-east Cummings Lodge, pleaded not guilty to the charge of exposing his person in an indecent manner.

It is alleged that on April 4 at Avenue of the Republic, Deokaran indecently exposed his person to three teenagers, two of whom are female.

One of the virtual complainants told the court that on the day in question, the accused made insulting remarks to them and then he displayed his central reproductive organ to them.

Throughout this explanation, Deokaran was laughing and he was subsequently reprimanded for such behaviour in the courtroom.

He was placed on $15,000 bail and the matter will continue on April 11 in Court Four.
