Promotion for free Ignition tickets launched

As the excitement for the much anticipated Ignition Concert billed for next Saturday reaches a climax, entertainment lovers will have several opportunities to win free tickets.

Wildfire Productions, the company behind the show which will feature three international artists – Bounty Killer, Wayne Wonder and the energetic and talented teenager, QQ, will host several promotional activities.

The company’s head Jonathan Beepat told The Scene recently that today at the White Castle Fish Shop there will be a sing-a-like competition from 10 am. During this event persons will also be dancing to QQ’s popular tune “Stookie” to win free tickets.
Then there will be the Ignition recognition event around lunch in the City Mall on Regent Street and around 4.30 pm in the Stabroek Market car park area. Participants in these events just have to say one of Bounty Killer’s famous slangs, which will be recorded.

The recorded slangs will then be replayed on the Everything Music show later that day on Channel Nine and on the Digicel programme on Channel Six, where callers can vote. The persons with the most votes for their slangs will win the free tickets.

During the coming week, there is a Digicel promotion, in which one can buy a Nokia handset at a cost of $10,000 or more and win a free ticket.

Then there is the VIP Digicel promotion in which persons topping up their phones with $200 or more get a chance to win ten VIP tickets.

Also, one can make purchases at the White Castle Fish Shop or Nanda’s Boutique on Camp Street and get the chance to win free tickets.

Beepat promised that these promotions will run right up to next Saturday, the show date.

Meanwhile there has been a big buzz about the show and there is the confidence that it will be bigger than the Inferno Concert which was held last year November. Beepat said the early bird tickets were sold out days after they were released and the VIP and regular tickets are going fast.

The promoter has promised to beef up security by providing security guards, sniffer dogs and good lighting in parking lots that will be set up in the Malteenos Sports Club Ground on Thomas Road and in the park.
