Rugby players get Polo shirts

Members of the Guyana Rugby Football Union received a contribution of 30 polo jerseys from Harold Brandford, Managing Director of Brans Security Services yesterday at the National Park Rugby field.

The Guyana players along with the coaches and officials were scheduled to depart Guyana early this morning, decked in their jerseys en route to the Cayman Islands for the 2011 Rugby World Cup Men’s 15’s Qualifiers.

Brandford told Stabroek Sport that he had seen the team practising a few times during his afternoon exercise around the National Park’s inner circuit and so he found no problem in chipping in to help the players participate in this regional tournament.

Brandford also wished the team good luck at the qualifying championships, adding that he was confident that they would win.
