Contractor robbed at Agricola

Gunmen yesterday afternoon attacked and robbed a Kaneville contractor of some $400,000 cash on the Agricola, Public Road, police last night said.

According to a release from the police, contractor, Eldon Isaacs of Kaneville, Grove, EBD was attacked and robbed by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, at Shell Road, Agricola.
Investigations re-vealed that Isaacs was driving his motor vehicle on his way to the SOL Office at Agricola when one of the bandits stopped him on the pretext of requiring assistance.

As Isaacs stopped the man pulled out a firearm at which time Isaacs drove away with the men running behind him. Isaacs ran into the SOL compound leaving a bag with $400,000 in his vehicle which was taken away by the two perpetrators, the police said.

While the men were searching the car Isaacs attempted to confront them but had to abandon the idea after the armed man discharged a round in his direction.
