Prizes for GBTI early savers

Last week at its Water Street branch the Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (GBTI) presented three of its Early Savers with prizes.

Senior Operations Manager Vidya Singh explained that each time a GBTI early saver deposited money into their account they were provided with a chit. Annually the three early savers with the most chits are given prizes.

Jaggernauth was the winner of the bicycle while Ally and Peters received other prizes.Officer-in-Charge of GBTI’s Deposit Accounts Department, Raymond Forde in his remarks at the presentation described the event as “unique in that apart from recognizing educational success, it highlights the important fact that these young people have also started on the path to financial independence”.

The GBTI Early Savers Club began in 1995 and to date it has more than 10,700 members.
