Banks DIH has recently appointed Mortimer Stewart as Merchandising/Special Events Manager and Troy Peters as Communications Manager.
In a press release, the company said Stewart brings a wealth of knowledge to the new post, having worked as Outdoor Events Manager and Sports Club Manager. He joined the company in 1994 as a Stats Clerk in the Sales Office and has also served as Technical Clerk in the Vehicle Workshop.
It said Peters has been a journalist for 23 years and a public relations practitioner. He served as Public Relations and Marketing Manager for the Local Organising Committee for the ICC Cricket World Cup and was also the Assistant Venue Media Manager for the Providence Stadium during the Guyana leg of the Super Eight matches. Banks said Peters also served as Sport Editor of the Guyana Broadcasting Corporation and worked for several years in the print and electronic media houses.
