Guyanese among top Demerara Mutual awardees

Guyanese Charles Clarke and St Lucian Sabina Charles won the top awards at the Demerara Mutual Group of Companies Annual Sales Awards ceremony hosted on Friday.

According to a press release, Clarke and Charles, along with Guyanese Norman Bovell and St Lucians Tanja Browne and Carina James-Son also won the Chairman’s Diamond Award for exemplary performance in 2007. The company also operates branches in St Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenada.

The agenda at the ceremony also included the presentation of the Chairman’s Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, the Chief Executive Officer’s Challenge Awards and the Century Award. Cash prizes and trophies were also bestowed on top producers from the Group: for fire, life and motor insurance sales and for the Eight Plus and Fifty Plus clubs.

The release said the sales awards ceremony is hosted annually and rewards the top sales agents in specific categories.

The ceremony was hosted at the company’s Commercial Building at Robb Street.
