April last year Radika Singh wandered into Bare Root in her unsound mind and was beaten to death by people there. A year later three persons who were held by the police and charged for Radika’s murder were freed by the court.
I do remember when the Stabroek News reporters visited Bare Root after Radika’s murder some young men told the reporter that the dead woman was an Old Higue. In this day and age people believe in such nonsense.
What I am almost certain of is that if those three persons had been found guilty in any way, there would have been the shout of marginalization.
