Fogarty’s hands over prizes in Mother’s Day promotions

Winners in the Fogarty’s Mother’s Day Promotion and Essay Competition were given their prizes at a ceremony held at the store’s ground floor on Wednesday.

In a press release the store said Bonita Forsythe of Bachelor’s Adventure, East Coast Demerara won the first prize of one cabinet. Celeste Roxanne Apple of 4 Miles Housing Scheme, Potaro Road, won the second prize of one single wardrobe; Sherry Adams of Stanleytown Village, West Coast Demerara (WCD) won the third prize of one chaise lounge; Fazeena Rafeek of Cedar Court Lamaha Gardens, won the fourth prize of one grocery hamper; Marlene Dookhoo of D’Aguiar’s Park, Houston, won the fifth prize of one crystal set; Maria Nadesar of Owen Street, Kitty, won the sixth prize of one dinner set and Laila Farley of Meadow Brook Gardens won the seventh prize of lunch for four persons. 
Roopa Devi Seenarine of Ocean View, Uitvlugt (WCD) won a gift certificate for $15,000 and the first place in the essay competition. Second place and a gift certificate for $10,000 went to Yunyka Stable of Guyhoc Park and third place, along with a gift certificate worth $5,000 went to Daneille Abiena Latcha of Nigg Scheme, Corentyne, Berbice.

The store said the Mother’s Day Promotion started on May 3 and allowed customers who made purchases of $2,000 or more at any of its branches to enter. Children 12 years and under were allowed to enter the essay competition by writing a piece on the topic ‘A Mother’s Love.’ The essay had a 100-word limit.
