Businessman robbed of $4M at gunpoint in city

A businessman was robbed of $4 million, a quantity of jewellery and a cellular phone by two men armed with a handgun.

Satnarine Sahadeo, his wife and two employees were in their vehicle at Cowan and Water streets, Kingston around 3.05 pm yesterday after transacting business at a city bank, a police press release said, when a car drove up alongside them.
Two men were in the vehicle, one of whom pointed a gun at Sahadeo’s vehicle and ordered them to stop. The men carted off the said items along with the businessman’s licensed firearm and ammunition before escaping.
