Byderabo school gets tape player

The Hill View Nursery Annex at Byderabo Road recently received a donation of items that will boost its literacy programme.

According to a press release from the Region Seven Regional Democratic Council the school received a tape recorder/DVD player from Carlos Prowell, the parent of a former pupil of the school.
Prowell organised the project and benefactor Mohammed ‘Sheriff’ Alli of Sheriff Mining at Bartica handed over the gift to the school. Alli has been a long-time supporter of education development in the region.

Head Teacher Yvette Skeete said the player would be used to play nursery rhymes, to do phonics, stories, sing-alongs and other school activities.
