Like many other farmers, I am very much supportive of Government’s drive in the grow more food campaign which is very much evident at my farm in the front section by the roadway of the Onderneeming Sand Pit in Region #2.
But a serious problem that faces me is to get the much needed technical help from the office of the Ministry of Agriculture in my district.
Contact was made at the Anna Regina office of the Ministry of Agriculture some months ago with the assurance given that an on-the-spot inspection would be made to my farm which is easily accessible.
After such a protracted wait this is still to be done while I am continuing to suffer further losses through no fault of my own.
In the olden days, it was customary to see agricultural officials of their own volition visiting farms even in the backlands to give helpful advice.
