Duo remanded over gunpoint robbery

Two young men who allegedly robbed another man at gunpoint were remanded to prison Friday when they appeared before the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

Nineteen-year-old Adrian Bishop of 188 Campbellville Housing Scheme and Devon Brund, 21, of 64 Duncan Street, Campbellville both pleaded not guilty to robbery under arms.

It is alleged that on August 6 in Georgetown, Bishop and Brund robbed Martin Henry at gunpoint of a motor scooter, cash and four keys totalling $170,000 in value.

The prosecution objected to bail and Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton who presided over the case ordered that both Bishop and Brund be remanded to prison and that they reappear in Court on December 5.
