Better electricity service wanted

Dear Editor,

GPL’s ability to repeatedly make their consumers’ daily lives miserable is astounding. With the special skills of their meter readers and disconnection crews, the consumers remain at their mercy. With reading meters from long distances or from neighbours’ yards along with estimation, our bills are always predictably unrealistic. I have seen my bill doubled in the period of one month with normal usage, and increased the following month, despite myself and family making every effort to reduce our power consumption. I made no query at the GPL’s office as I hate wasting precious time. I am so anxious to see another power company introduced to provide better service to our homes and over the counter.
